Join me & Skyline Guest Ranch to experience an artist’s dream: cowboy modeling sessions, trail rides, study from life, painting demonstrations, and recharging in the great outdoors. Spend a week in Skyline Guest Ranch’s Spring Cow Camp in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains to artistically recharge and prepare yourself to create artwork with a deeper meaning. This retreat is an artist’s dream, with plenty of time for painting and gathering references, all set in a real cow camp. Space is limited to 9-11 students.

Students will receive a small supply kit with a sketchbook, brushes and panels from Jack Richeson Art Supply, pens, and more.

Good paintings come from real life experience. This retreat is designed to help you as an artist to gain that experience to put real feeling into your artwork. Get ready to paint the limitless inspirations during cow camp: Cowboys, draft horse teams, cattle branding, and so much more.

What I am looking forward to most is spending time among the sagebrush and delving deeper into my reasons for painting Western art: grit, small moments, and connection.
